Los Angeles, California 2013
Photographed by Rob Hoffman
Back in 2010 my heart shattered, for lack of a better word. It completely changed me as life lessons tend to do. Two weeks after, I had to go on a long ago booked holiday. No longer enthused and pretty much an empty shell I found myself on the “Hogwarts Express” in Scotland. We made several stops on the train just surrounded by mountains and valleys and lakes… the most breathtaking scenery you couldn’t even imagine. Everyone needs to see it, photos and videos just will never do it justice. Anyway, on one of the stops I jumped out and walked on a short trail through some forest but the end was locked up by gates. I climbed over the gate and ran all the way up the mountain. As high as I could get to. No one else was there, or even near. I stood there and looked out, taking photos of the view only I had gotten to see. I don’t think I have ever felt such peace as I did at that moment. Literally rock bottom to the top of the world. Even if the moment was only fleeting :) I’d keep that memory.
are there actually people out there who make their beds every morning or is that just a myth
